cables
I have a2004 low rider .. just bought windshield ... have to move throttle cables and break cables outside the fork tubes for the clamps on the windshield to fit properly. How difficult of a job is this?Any short cuts or tricks will be appreciated!thanks for the help in advance!
Throttle cables and CLUTCH cable? On the throttle cables; take the 2 screws out of the switch housing so you can lift the top off and gain access to the ends of the cables. Adjust both cable adjusters so you have maximum slack. You should now be able to unhook the cables from the throttle. Don't lose the brass barrels on the end of the cables. Once the cables are unhooked, yank the cable housings out of the switch housing.
Clutch side; adjust the cable adjuster for maximum slack, remove the snap ring on the bottom of the clutch lever pivot pin, pull the pin out, remove leverand cable from clutch perch.
Bad news; you may discover the cables are too long if they're not routed through the forks.
