Ok so a friend of mine has some extended cables lying around from his road king, wondering if i can use them on my same year dyna super? I know the throttles should work and clutch, anybody ever tried this? Or should I just stop being cheap and go buy my own
It's a roll of the dice.
The actual connection button ends/feral's(?) should be the same (Harley) but may be different with other physical aspects.
Use this feature on the Magnum Shielding page,, enter each bike in question,, select the individual cable,, then select "Specifications" and it will tell you what the cable has for travel and tube ends.
It's a little legwork/time spent doing a cross-reference thing you need to do.
The magnum tool is nice to have, however if you want better cables and at a cheaper cost, get the Barnett cables from BarnettClutches.com, you pic your bike, it list the cable options. Unlike Magnum where you pay more as the cable gets longer, Barnett cables a the same price from stock to +12". I paid around $250 for the brake, clutch and both throttle cable at +4, I wanna say Mangum would have been $314. Waiting for bars to show up now.
