I have one of Slims 27 inch sissybar on my FXD right now and as someone said before, It's solid as hell. Slim is a solid dude as well, great work, and good prices to boot. Def go with Slim over the MoCo.

Default Just received mine today

Not a great bar but a good one. Mine is 24 inch, built solid, good welding. I do not think it is powder coated as it arrived with chips in the paint to the bare metal so I will have to repainted it. It is not a gloss black, more of a satin. I just got it tonight and have not had time to install yet although holding it to the bike I will have to be VERY careful mounting it. It is at least 1- 2 inches narrower than the fender at the base. I hope it has a slight angle back when mounted but that remains to be seen. All that said...I paid $139 for a sissy bar. I got a $139 sissy bar. Beats 500 from Ginz choppers or 270 from bowman. Yes theirs looks like a showpiece but since I plan on actually hanging stuff on mine and strapping stuff to it, it should function just fine. Once mounted I will take some pictures and post.

It's the 27". I had to widen the slots for the bolts, and yes the original paint wasn't very good. But this thing is solid. I hang a lunch box off of it and my wife loves to sit back and relax on it. I'm still happy with it.

I have the 24". Had to widen mounting holes and paint wasn't perfect, but for $140 definitely a nice bar.

How did you install yours? I'm having a hard time spreading the fender and fender strut to slip it in...
