Default OEM Windshield?

I am the 3rd owner of a 2002 FXD that came with a windshield but I am not sure if the windshield is HD or after-market. I would like to put a spotlight bar on it, probably a National, but I am not sure if it would interfere with the windshield.

Anybody recognize the maker of this windshield? There are no markings on it (that I can find).

Thanks

I say it's OEM. Go to the Harley web site and select parts--choose your year and model--then select windshields on left. Shows the detachable hardware and shields with same exact position and shape of frame and even the torx head screws holding the frame to the plastic.

Thanks man! I couldn't find any pictures - up here everything defaults to HD's Canadian distributor who doesn't bother with pictures - they just refer you to your dealer - but when I switched to the U.S. site, I got pictures.

Those don't look like factory brackets where it attaches to the forks. Mine has a factory windshield and the mounts look different.

Being an 02', they might have used the older style detach setup and later changed to the clamps like yours when they went to the 49mm front end.

OP, it looks stock, but I am no expert on windscreens.

Thanks gang! I suspect the windshield is probably OEM because the previous owner was hard-core Harley and had all his work done at a dealership.

In any event I sent pictures to National (since I am planning to use their light bar) and asked if it would be compatible with this windshield.

Thats true. I just went to Harley's website and the mounting hardware for the 02 dynas looks different than mine.

To the op, does your docking hardware for your windshield look like the ones in the link? http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...cking-hardware

Thats the docking hardware that HD has on their website for your bike.
