I don't know about the SE's. I have the SEII's and they are louder and deeper than stock but not obnoxious. You can set off car alarms if you lean on it. The SEII'sare quiter than V&H sideshot pipes with street baffles. I think you can get the SEII's off ebay for a decnt price.
Hope that gives you an idea.

I have a pair of SE-2s with Big City Thunder baffles for sale for $200+ shipping. Removed them yesterday. Slip-ons were bought in November 06. BCT baffles in December 06. Will include the stock SE-2 baffles if the buyer wants them.

The sound is awesome.

Im i ght be wrong here but I have the SE's AKA SE1's and from I have been told the major differnce is that the 2's have removeable baffles and the 1's have welded in caps to hold them in I got mine cheap off EBAY and they were black so I bought htem punched them and called it a day mine are loud the crack and pop and I love the hell of them they sound like bikes did back in theday. The 2's I've heard have a deeper sound real smooth and stuff I've been told the 1's won't fit an 06but 1000 miles later mine are going strong.
