dropped the bike at hd today, getting the battery box recall done, dynotune(i put on some v&h short shots staggered, had seII before), and hopefully they can fix my trans problem. Neutral light stays on in gear.... gets brighter on accel... dimms on decel.... flashes between shifts. I've had the trans recall done, I wonder if this is going to a problem in the future because my warrenty runns out in aug. When i get my dyno numbers i'll post them as compared to the seII I had before.... 77hp and 77 tq... we'll see what the sss does...probably a little less but they look and sound great. Anyone have this trans problem before and what did they do to fix it?
Just got mine dyno tuned this past weekend. I had a 3 horse gain and gain in torque as well. I got an 06 bob, ness big sucker, cycleshack exhaust system and Power Commander III. I got a copy of the chart. Been raining cats and dogs so I have been unable to test her out yet. Hoping to feel a big difference.
My neutral light does the same thing. Exactly the same thing. I talked to the dealer and he told me to bring it by someday and they would change the switch. It's an easy fix, the switch is located on the outside of the tranny just behind the oil dipstick and above the tranny side plate. It has two wires running from it and it looks to be about a 3/4 inch hex.
When I did my oil changes a couple weeks back I went with Redline in the tranny and the couple of rides I have taken since then the problem seems to have gone away.
I left my bike there on sat. Its got the trans issue and a recall, while its there i'm having them do the clutch cable because i don't want the dealership to say its my fault the nuetral light is on because its still in warrenty, Also i'm having them do a service because i'm lazy..... they'll call me when done....knowing them it'll probably be a week or so.....its still cold so i'm not going to rush them yet.....in the 50's this sat possibly so i hope its done by then! bit2t....don't worry i'll post the numbers asap i promise!
got my back bike.... 73.5 hp and 76.7 tq.... lost 3.5 tq and .5 tq with the sss ....less than i thought id loose...not noticable in the pants but the sound and looks of it make the difference.....i'll scan the dyo sheet and take some good pics of the finished bars later....oh by the way, with the seII and sea/c it was 77 and 77
