Default 2-Up on FXDP Dyna Defender?

I'm looking at getting a Defender, but the wife wants to ride from time to time too. All of the pictures I see make it look pretty tedious to sit on the back and comfortably be over the saddlebags to reach the passenger pegs. I've done a Google Image and web search for 2-Up on FXDP and don't see any shots of any with a passenger.

Does anyone have an FXDP with the hardbags that has ridden 2-Up? Are passengers comfy, or is it a weird angle or stretch to get to the pegs? Pics would be awesome too. Thanks in advance!

You'll have to rig something up for passenger pegs I think. The forward lower mounts for the bags mount in the passenger peg location. I believe Jesse James had the bags and pegs on his defender. I know there are some pics floating around somewhere

I think if you get a seat that sits high enough, it won't be that bad

Default Dyna Defender passenger foot pegs.

Paul's Cycle Repair in Canoga Park, Ca. And I designed these. Paul fabricated them.

Your bags are fine. I ran into this same problem with my FXDWG.. Get a set of 4" extensions made by Kuryakyn- #7937. These will get her feet far enough out in front, the bags won't be in her way and also make it more comfortable for her to stretch out some. Also get a good seat like the Harley Sundownder along with a sissy bar W/pad and with a quick release mount. Set your shocks to as stiff as they will go and your ready for the long haul with your wife. REMEMBER, a HAPPY wife sure make your life better and a lot easier to get what you want for your bike also. Have fun 2 up
