I just did some reading over at htt and from what I've read there's 2 options. Either collapse the exhaust pushrods and crank it over or pull the injector plugs one at a time and fire the motor up on one cylinder.. I'm going to shoot Kirby an email and see what he thinks
just stick with the leak down test.no way of doing a accurate compression test with EZ start cams that I know of
Makes me glad I didn't go with ez cams. First time i did a compression test it skared the crap out of me. I forgot to did connect the ACR's. My primary was quieter with the Baker than the SE. I'm looking forward to getting the Baker comp back in my primary. They should be shipping the first 100 out this week. I think those are spoken for though. Best of luck man.

Hey I got on that waiting list a while ago and haven't heard from them yet... Yea I did the same thing when I saw the compression at 140.. Took me a while to remember I had ez starts.. Oh well, the main thing is that the leak down was good. I was listening a little harder today and what I thought was the valve train noise is definitely coming from the primary. When the bike gets hot it starts ticking as I sit at a light.. I'm sure that comp is pretty tattered it's got almost 30k on it and this 124 isn't helping it out with 16oz of fluid... I'm thinking that's te sound I've been chasing, could still be an exhaust leak I'm going to change those out when the bike cools back off

Is the 16oz due to the clutch mfr advising that low of level? I switched to the cometic/kuryakn copper gaskets and am happy with them. I also am running serrated flange nuts.Arp makes some grade 8 that are cadmium coated and are cheap. Add that to some better flanges and they shouldn't back off anymore. Mine haven't and I check them quite often.
I told you about my 117" Dream on page 8 of this thread...... Just to pass along the update: should order parts after the long weekend, maybe early June.... And might be ready for the installation by July / August.... I'm crazy excited!!!!
CHL, hell yea man I'm looking forward to your thread, hopefully yours will go a little smoother then mine did haha. Slyedog, yes the bandit clutch actually only wants 12oz of fluid in the primary but I go 16oz just to help the comp and chain out a little.
My new baker comp is on its way, should be here by Wednesday!! So this weekend I'll change out the comp and go back to the 32T sprocket and get a new rear tire on her. Should be a good weekend, I'll throw some pics of the comp up
Man, I haven't heard yet about my Baker comp....a little disappointed that I will have to grind out the cast in oiling tray.
Kinda shocked that you are going back to the 32T front pulley, the 30T mod for me was great, the stock gearing is soooo tall. Can't remember if your gearing is different?? I know the 124" provides enough power for higher gears but I know I would never go back to 32T front, maybe I would go back to the 66T rear.
