Glad your ok thank god it was a newer vehicle most the front fascia is all a plastic composite material that bends and twists fairly easy. she was playing on the phone I bet ,it amazes me how many you see doing this in heavy traffic.
Thanks guys. I'm sure she was on her phone as everyone is these days, completely oblivious to what's going on around them. My body definitely took some impact, I'm pretty sore on my right side. There's marks in the bike from the front tire all the way down to rear fender. I tucked my leg in at the last second and it must have just been enough to not twist my foot around backward like it did to the peg. I'm very lucky and by the grace of God still have my leg in one piece
Yes I realize someone was riding the motorcycle when it went down.{typically they dont drift down the highway by themselves} on the other hand The man said he was ok just a little sore on one side. my question was infact directed at the strength of the bars to get laid down and still look straight. That would tell me that the brand he chose was a very good brand.
Man, glad you are OK. Jock thinking to move your leg out of the way. The soreness will go away in a week or two.
Have you made an assessment of what you need to get you on the road again?
Pipes, peg, etc.... hard to see in the pics. Insurance will take care of it (hers or yours), and riding season is here. I would hate this to stop you from enjoying it!
Thanks again guys. The bike didn't go down.. somehow some way I kept it upright. Risers are 8" with 4" rise bars. Pipe is trashed, peg and brake are trashed, brake rod is broke, powder coating from front leg to trans cover needs to be redone, the rear fender looks tweaked, needs to be re painted, bags need to be replaced, clutch cable needs to be replaced and I need a new pair of underwear
Lot of chatter here lately about motor oils, how often to change it, what's the best kind; really got me wondering now, do you think your motor oil is to blame?
What make and grade was it, I want to make sure I don't use that one
Jeez louise Monster, sorry to hear of it but happy that you stayed upright through it all. I personally will never judge your masculinity based on what happened to your undershorts... Suede, I can't speak for him, he's pretty judgy!
