Was in the process of changing my bars(had the stock bars off) and was offered a possible trade for my bike. Went to put the stock bars back on and the throttle is locked up. Doesnt move at all. Keep in mind i did not disconnect any cables or anything in the process. Took it back apart and made sure the cable was in its tracks on the throttle tube, not really sure what else to try. Any advice is appreciated

 

Simplest thing to check is that you didn't shove the throttle tube up against the end of the bar which would jam it up.

 

did ya check the throttle friction lock? If you changed grips make sure the new ones fit the friction lock setup...had that happen once...new grips would not work with the friction lock setup..kept binding up every time I tightened up the switch housings

 

Yeah friction lock is fine. I never even separated the grip from the throttle tube. i will check to make sure its not pushed up against the bar like you said. Thanks
