the sound difference is very hard to tell, 2 decibels?? the performance difference on the dyno was 2 ft lbs more TQ than the standard baffles at peak power but they lost 4 hp over the standard baffle on my stage II 107. at cruising speed they sounded a tad deeper to me. but when u wack the throttle the standard baffles sounded better to me. I also had drilled a bigger hole in the bottom of chrome shields so the bolts could be removed and the baffles could be easily swapped. the standard baffle removes easily the quiet core can be a bitch with the packing it binds up and u have to keep twisting it to get it in correctly. IMHO don't waste your money on them. when I sold the exhaust I threw out the Quiet baffles.

Thank you Target64. I got in a 40 mile ride yesterday and the sound was just about right when cruising. Got a little loud pulling up a mountain passing traffic, but I guess that's a good thing. At least the 4 wheelers can hear me coming now and might not try to run over me.

Big Shots are great pipes. Good looking and the sound with the baffle is nice and deep. My number one choice for aftermarket pipes.

Default Big Shots

I put the BS staggered on my 12' WG @ 500 miles, first with the stock V & H baffles and then with their quiet baffles. I liked the quiet baffles sound better but still wasn't satisfied until I installed the BC Monster baffles. They really opened up the throaty rumble that I was after.

Finally got it back! Pipes sounded good had a nice time to them. Just regular baffles. It could stand to be a little louder if you ask me but I didn't get to listen to it much sense I traliered it home, it was raining outside, and now it's in the house

OMG<, I love that 105th wide glide, love the pipes, love the rear fender. They are loud bikes but good quality, I have the same ones on my 88CI, cheap pipes rattle, these are solid.

I've had Big Shots on my '08 SuperG for 61,000 miles...still like the look and sound. There are some advantages to being half deaf. The heat shields on mine have numerous scratches from falling over in my driveway. Looked in to replacing the shields, but the shields alone cost $350 new. Have been looking for good, used, but no luck.

Looks like it's time to invest in a crash bar to keep your bike off the ground.
