i bought my 2014 FXDF back in Sep. i rode it for a month or 2 then i started having issues with it starting. didnt have a tender so i figured the battery just got cold in the winter months and wouldn't turn over. hooked it up to a charger twice and it would start and run fine until i parked it. when i came out in the morning it wouldnt start after riding it all day the day prior. i keep having this issue. i took it to bayside where i bought the bike and they hooked it up and said the batter was fine and it started fine... no **** i just jumped it and rode it 20min before i got there and it hasn't been 20min since i turned it off . they hooked it up completely charged it and i rode it home. went to start it the next morning and it was completely dead. i figure it has to be a short somewhere but the fact that harley wont help me with this and the fact that i just bought this bike is very frustrating. if yall have any advise on where to search besides pulling every fuse each night and seeing which circuit causes it not to drain the battery.
You don't need to be messing around with a bike that's under warranty. Like said above, get the dealer to pick it up when it won't start. If they won't help you, call HD customer service and/or find another dealer that cares.
Do you have any after market accessories added to the bike like a USB charger? Sometimes something like that might have a LED light that drains the battery when the bikes off. The best test would be to replace the battery and see if the symptoms continue. Also, you mentioned you jumped the bike. Not sure what you meant by that but you should make sure you never jump the bike with a running car battery. The extra volts can fry your starter and/or alternator.
The bike is under warranty, have a buddy follow you to the dealer and drop it off so they can try it the next morning.
That would be the answer! Additionally, I would keep the keys until I arrived back the next day and make them start it in front of me and the service manager.

Could it be this simple??? some one is turning the key too far and leaving parking lights on,, and not noticing them on ,,,,, easily done on a new bike
Have the dealer run a voltage regulator diode test. They (there's 3) convert and pass AC>DC current from the stator in the primary case in one direction only to the battery to charge, but can drain the battery if one or more go bad.
In the meantime isolate the charging system from the battery overnight by pulling the 40A fuse. If ok the next day (unlike now) you may have an answer. If still bad next day, replace the 40A and remove the other fuses one day at a time to isolate the circuit.
