Hey guys.
I need a little help. I had some issues with a cracked crank case so I got new hd ones. I installed the SE hybrid can plate and new oil pump when I put it back together. I bought new S&S lifters. Everything else (211 cam and adjustable rods) is the same. When I put it back together it started right up. But the chatter lifter noise I think is way too much. I adjusted the rods and it still the same. Anyone else have oil pressure issues or lifter issues using te hybrid can plate and pump?
Thanks

No issues with my pump. New lifters can take a bit to quiet down.

Minutes, usually. In your case, having everything empty from a total rebuild, filling everything back up, particularly the lifters may take a little time. I've also seen in here that the S&S lifters can be very noisy at first. Gonna put a set in mine this year.

Did you prime the system? You should always crank the bike over with the plugs out and fuel line off for about 10 sec at a time, 4 or 5 times until the oil light goes out. I also pump the lifters up with an oil can and get all the air out before installing. Makes them nice and quiet on startup. Do you know anyone with an oil pressure gauge you could throw on quick? Is the oil light going out?

I have 45 psi on startup the lifters got soaked in oil for 1 day before install. Ive been reading about how with the SE adjustables they call for 2.5 turns but some people go 3 to 3.5 to get rid of the noise any info on that?
