2014 FXDB wheel spacers..which and where..im tired of playing around..im sure the fronts were both aluminum but everything seems to fit with one aluminum and one steel on both front and back..had everything layed out then wife or kid messed it all up..soo now..went from spokes to mags but **** is supposed to be the same regardless..can someone help point out how many lines (scores) on your spacers and if they're aluminum both on front or not (try a magnet nut tool) and yes I have all the manuals for my bike but it doesn't specify **** part numbers are the same ( kits)
On the front, the spacers mount with the scores to the outboard on both sides. I've seen them different though on new bikes, I think it made a difference at one point but I think the spacers are symmetrical but still with the scores; nevertheless, front-scores towards outboard.
On a related point, my OEM rear spacer, looks the same but from factory still, the scores are on the inboard side.
If they are symmetrical it won't matter.
I'm fairly sure to state that the spacers are steel.
Could you explain your situation a bit more? I went from laced wheels to mags using the same spacers. mine are different lengths, but you really cant mix them up, or your rotor wont line up with the caliper.
My problem.. pulled off spokes and had everything set aside..**** got moved around..and well my spacers got mixed up..2 are aluminum and two are what seem stainless or a galvanized steel..they look similar in color and grain but the weight is what is the difference..soo on the fb page i said is steel on the rear aluminum on front and got yes in plural form...so i messed around trying to figure out why they werent fitting then when i started this post i figured it was easier to get a score line count on the front spacers then i could count out the rears..following me?...So heres the kicker..I have the HD repair and parts manual the front spacers specify the same part# for both spacers..every spacer is a different size.. but I got them to fit but one is steel and one is Aluminum per wheel which is F*#*ed up in my opinion...is there a reason for this or is hd throwing on the bike what they have laying around...and I wasnt going by the rotor not lining up as theyre not installed..both aluminum spacers on the front leave wheel side play where both steel in the rear wont fit..the wheel change and mixed material spacers is what had me capish?
