Default 1st bike.
Just got my first bike. 2012 Super Glide. Loving every minute I get a chance to ride. Just wondering if there I anything I need to look out for mechanically speaking, been reading the forums but was wondering bike specific.

Welcome to the HD forum's and congrats on your first bike and a fine one it is, the first thing you need is to hang a Gremlin bell off the bottom of the beauty.

Hi and welcome!You bought a harley, but it's like anything mechanical. Some are great right out of the box, and every now and then you get one that needs special care IE: (lemon). So no special majick , keep an eye on anytthing that gets loose, check your three oil levels, ask here if anything goes wrong or your unsure and very i9mportant, get a HD service manual for your specific year/model, no knock offs!

congrats on the new ride, and +1 on the gremlin bell, I need to get a new one, took out a rabbit the other night and only damage was my gremlin bell was gone!

Have the significant other get you the gremlin bell, Can't buy it yourself as I have been told. New to HD too, been riding since 8yrs old.Wondered why the HD bike at work ahd 1 & then I was told of the story. Being an Ex hockey goalie & player I am superstitious!
