Default Recommend fork oil?

Doing the Progressive drop in lowering springs for a 1" drop. What weight fork oil would you recommend to use?

I just did the Progressive fork springs with a 1" drop. The oil I used the HD Type E oil. I put close to 500 miles on my bike this past weekend and I absolutely love the difference in the ride. Those springs take out a lot of those little bone jarring bumps. Enjoy

I use Amsoil 10wt shock therapy, no spring or gold valves, difference is night and day.

Thanks guys. With putting a 23" wheel on, it raised the front end 1.5". So with a 1" spring drop and lower the trees 1/2" on the forks I'll be back at stock height. Kind of need to for my short legs. I'll try out the Amsoil shock therapy, I've heard nothing but great things about it.

+1 on the AmsOil I have used it on the FXDL, and my Suzuki cruiser, and it has helped the ride on both bikes. I couldn't believe how nasty the fork oil was when I changed the Suzuki, but the Dyna was the same way.

I installed some progressive springs and used HD's type E. The bike handles a lot better but cant say it was due to the oil. Next time I service the forks Im going to try Amsoil 10wt shock therapy

All I did on my bike was the Screamin eagle heavy duty oil (either equivalent of 10 or 15 don't remember) in the front and it was night and day!

When I installed the chrome lower legs I used Showa 15 wt. oil which I bought off EBay. It was 1/2 the cost of SE oil and the forks are Showa anyways. The dealer said the bike came with 10 wt. and I didn't like how much the nose would dive on hard braking. I love the ride now.

I'm changing my fork oil this weekend. I'm going with the Screaming Eagle fork oil, mostly because I have a gift card for Harley.
