i found a forward control that hookup to where the mid controls hook up has any one used these or should i go with unhooking all that and go and hook up above it looks a lot easier with the ones that hook to where the shifter is at the primary

 

There was a thread about 2-3 weeks ago where somebody had done what you are talking about. He was happy but I did not think it looked that great...

 

check the classified section to find traditional forward controls. Look better and pretty easy to go from mids to forwards.

Currently have a nice set for sale, but not sure if they fit late model bikes.

Yeah I have them mate. Bought from a U.S Ebay seller. I like them, cheaper that HD ones and a lot easier to fit. If you use the search function I started a thread a few weeks ago.
