I'm looking at several different cams. I want do do cams now and in the next year or so the big bore kit. I would like to use the same cams so i dont have to buy twice. Im looking at s&s 106 kit. The ride is a 07 street bob. I have a fuelpak, straight shots, and se heavy breather. I know the cam question has been beaten to death but I cant seem to find a real good answer. The help on here has been great so thanks in advance.

My advice to you...... If cams only do them now. If your doing the bores go 107 using your cylinders. At the same time youll have the heads off so do some headwork, and have whoever does your heads set them up for the cam that will suit you the best.
My best advise is to buy the cams that'll work best NOW on your 96 engine and worry about what 106 cams to get later when it's definitely ON. I'd be looking at 48h, 222 or se204 cams for the time being if I was in your shoes.
Thanks for the imput. I have been looking at the se204, s&s583, and 48. Tonebone I see your in the valley do u know any good indy shops in the general area?

I do all my own wrenching but if i was ever gonna take it anywhere in the Valley it'd probably be Reiss Cycle in Walnutport.
I usually do all my work also but im not sure I trust myself to do cams. (Always second guess myself) Im only about ten min from reiss just never really heard anything about them. Thanks alot for the help. Im leaning towards the se 204 or 48h for now
