How much play after tensioning belt?
How much play is allowed once you align your axle and put it under tension before torquing axle nut? My crappy Klymer manual says about 3/8".

SO, your next purchase should be a Harley Davidson service manual..

Service manual is wrong - it should be loose enough to NOT BIND at fully extended suspension. I'm not happy unless I can reach down and lift about 3/4" with firm finger pressure.
Factory setting puts way too much stress on the output shaft and bearing.... being the high quality items they are to begin with.
