Just a euphemism for taking some of my stylistic cues from the bikes I saw running around in the '70's & '80's.

Not sure if it fits the "old school" looks requirements, but I think it suites the look of an older Harley.

Here is mine...still working on it but its getting there.....since these pictures I sold the Thunderhead and am waiting on a Switchback header so I can run my floorboards....

The Switchback was so close to being cool, just needed some tweaking to look like that.

Also, I'm not sure what the little piece is on the FLH under the battery box, but I just noticed the ABS module on the newer bikes looks similar.
