need advice with fender
So i am chopping the rear fender to my liking however i cannot wrap my head around what to do with the wiring. the main wiring harness plugged into a circuit board behind the rear tail light that then distributsd the rest of the wiring to the brake light and turn sigs. So now that im cutting the center tail light out how do i distribute the wiring without that circuit board?
I have a smart teiple play and load equalizer to make the sigs my run brake lights. What are my options?
Btw the manuel was tons of help

Using the Triple play would still run the wiring back to the stock light board (which you no longer have, correct) in the center light and the turns would still plug into the board correct? So your now needing to run from the main harness to the two turn sigs and maybe provide a plate light correct? Do you plan on also mounting a brake light to the side mount? What year is your ride?
I plan on having tag bolt to illuminate my liscense plate which will also have a red tag to act as brake lights. Then the turn signals ....since i removed the center light i have no where to mount the old circuit board. Its a 2003 fxdl. I just dont know if i should just unplug the triple play and splice the run brake and signal into the red wire on the signals. Thibking maybe this will do what i want by making them light up dim for runs and get brighter for brakeing.

I believe base on looking at the Smart Triple Play pic, you have a Brown, Orange, few black, red, and purple or blue wires that go to the thail light correct?
If the is the case, first call CD and confirm that the function for each wire, should be like this.
Black-ground (one for each turn and one for center brake)
Orange-acc (center brake light run function)
red-brake (center light)
brown-right turn (and with the STP module the added run function)
purple or blue-left turn (and with the STP module the added run function)
If I have that all correct and they confirm it, ask them if they will sell you the female/male plug that will plug into the that and the pins for it (get extras). I always find it best to no molest the built harness and better to just build one to plug into it.
If you can get the parts, get some wire and build a new harness to run to the lights.
I'll try and get you a diagram drawn up to see how it should be wired once you get back with if I have everything right as far as the wires.
