Touring bikes have one purpose, touring. The rest of us have to work for a living. My road trips very seldom exceed 3 days. So..... what good is all of that plastic that hides the actual bike? You know, when you're out for a leisurely ride. I prefer the detachable stuff so it can be removed so I can ride!
I sold my Honda in '86 when my first kid was born. Didn't get my Harley until 2011. So at nearly 50 years old, I don't appreciate somebody referring to my Wide Glide as a " lesser bike". I would guess most of those guys can't hang with me . You know, when we're actually riding. Not going in a straight line with all of that extra weight.
Not knocking anybody for getting a bike that suits their needs. Just don't knock mine.
Just my thoughts. Anybody agree?
Another "I feel inadequate" thread. Maybe you guys could hang out with the sporty girls to make yourselves feel better!

You'd think by the time the OP hit 50, he'd be over the junior high school crap of letting other people make him feel bad. Guess not.

Just wondering why some, and I said some guys feel the need to degrade bikes that don't cost 20k+. These are the ones acting like high school. And by the way, I never gave 2 cents what anybody really thinks about me.
Especially some dude on a Geezer Glide.

Default Funny.....

Recently I was thinking of down grading to a super glide. Omg was that the proper terminology.... I don't want to offend any one but...........no seriously though I am looking at purchasing a super glide inn the near future and I don't think it's a down grade by any means but a change in riding style as quoted earlier. I think the Dynas are the hot rods of Harleys....lightweight, high hp and very good handling. And yea ixnay on the shield......

I love these threads. Somebody always makes a comment that gets someone else's panties in a wad.

Me, I'm just thrilled every time I get to ride. Don't have the time or inclination to worry about someone else.
