Default throttle sticks

I dont know why but my new performance machine renthal grips stick on my dyna.

The stock grips work but are ugly. Before anyones asks i did check the "cruise control" ****. I actually removed it.

I thought it was my cables but i adjusted them multiple times nothing worked. I switched back to the stock grip and it was smooth. Reinstalled the pm renthals and it sticks.

Any help would be appreciated

If I had to guess, the depth of the new ones might be slightly shorter, and it that's the case, the are sticking on the end of the bar itself. Loosen the throttle housing and try sliding the whole thing just slightly outwards (away from the bar end), retighten, and see if that relieves the sticking.

The bars are mx t bars. The sounds like a good idea. Ill slide the whole assembly out and report back. Any other ideas?

If that doesn't work and your bars are powder coated it may be too thick. My stock one fit fine but had to sand it down for my Arlen ness throttle.

Or if it doesn't fit into the groove on the controls....? If your new grip sticks there possibly.

I have the same grips on burly narrow apes. I had the same problem when i first put the new grips on, i slid the grips outward ever so slightly and sprayed a bit of wd-40 where the grip rests in the control module and it works nicely now

also, you might check the angle of the entire control module/ grip. after tilting mine down a tad it rotated a lot easier too

Make sure your throttle lock is threaded ALL the way out.
