I jus went out to fire up the bike for a bit, snows melting and weather is warming. I notice the front turn signal lights remain on like a running light, but the rear does not, only the tail light itself is on. Is this normal? Sorry if this is a total noob question, first bike in a very very long time and first Harley.

You didn't ask, but Kuryakin has a run/turn/brake unit that makes the tail lights remain on and blink for turning. Also, the brake light flickers for a couple of seconds. It has been valuable to me.
