Default Help with Forward Controls

I installed Forward controls on my buddies 2000 Super GLide Sport. THere is an issue with the small offset bar that goes between the old shift linkage and the transmission shift rod. When it is tightened it binds up not allowing the linkage to shift properly. I need someone to take a pic of their foraward control job. I've done the job twice and no matter how I shake it, it will not function when going by the instructions. Another friend snapped a bolt so the job is on hold till Monday when we can buy a new shift linkage( short stud/long stud bar) Any photos will help and info on what you may have done would be great. EMail me at ramairformula400@aol.com. Thanks in advance. Mike

Default RE: Help with Forward Controls

As you look at the bike if your talking about the rod to the left you should either push it behind the bolt directly behind it or do as i did and use a chrome cable tie and connect it to the new shift rod leaving enough play so that is doesnt interfere with the gear change movement.
I may of misunderstood you post if this is the case i apologise.
