Went our last Saturday with my 09 fxd, noticed in 6th gear around 65to70mph with steady throttle or accelerating the bike has a vibration I haven't noticed before. Let off the throttle and all is well.
No problems in any other gear only 6th. Any idea's?
I'll throw a leg over it asap and see how it all plays out. I'm thinking of ordering the vibra front mount and finding a nicer rear mount to stiffen it up so it doesn't feel so sloppy at 80+ or he'll whats the since in having that 6th gear.

l wouldn't get too stressed about it, l've operated a lot of different machinery and if l stopped every time l felt a different vibration or heard a different noise, l'd never get anywhere or get any work done. l tend to take the same attitude to my bike, they're a pretty tough, durable machine.
as said, keep it in 5th until you're cruising 70mph or faster.
I have a Vibratechnics mount, and a 68t rear pulley and I think that makes cruising in 6th between 65-70 bearable but still more work for the engine than 5th gear so you'll burn less fuel using 5th.
changing your mounts won't take away your problem, it may do nothing but make the problem worse and that goes for the gearing as well, it's a crapshoot.
