Went out and washed it and searched and searched for an oil dipstick. I feel stupid that I couldn't find it. Here's a couple pics, if someone could point the thing out, I'll let you laugh at me for not seeing it.
I'm betting it goes just behind this pic, but there isn't a dipstick, there's a temperature gauge sticking out of where I think the dipstick would be.

the temperature gauge is your dipstick, it shows oil temperature! that looks like a really sweet and clean shovelhead, your a lucky man! My guess is the oil is coming from the breather filter that is right behind the passenger peg, it looks kind of dirty, if you detach the hose is should screw off and you can clean it with a degreaser.
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the bike. You've already got some good advice and it sounds like you're on the right track at reviving it. Most importantly...Ride safe and have fun with messing with it!
Thank you for the link, advice and welcome. That link is exactly what I'm looking for for beginner maintenance. As far as I can tell, I just need to do general maintenance, get my endorsement and I should be good to go. My dad took really good care of this thing.
After reading a thread about oil, could it have possibly been that I didn't let it warm up enough before revving it? I haven't noticed any more drips since the first instance.
