FXD sorted, thanx to forums
I did lots of reading this time (here) before jumping into my FXD.
Stock bike with the exception of V&H long shots slip-on's is where I started. The changes I made are as followed:
SE pushrods
Gatorman's lifters
Andrews 26H cams
Thunder-max ECM
It is no longer the same mcycle, all the bad and disappointing habits are gone, has turned into a complete animal. Makes you feel like you have a Tiger by the tail. Next will be Iridium plugs and High flo air cleaner, after that BRAKES and suspension to compliment.
Once some miles are added, the T-M will be fined tuned even more which is hard to believe the bike can run even better. My only concern with these changes are the push-rods, am wondering if I should have loc-Tight'd the jam nuts ?
EDIT: replacing the INA bearings is where all these mods started.
