I am also 6'2" 225lbs. I was un impressed with the Mustang. Traded up to a Corbin Dual tour. Worth EVERY penny $513 delivered to my front door. The seat was great on day one and got better as it got broken in.
Seats are very personal items and I would probably suggest trying a few from places that have good return policies.
I have never tried a sundowner but I sat on my friends Mustang seat and liked it. I ordered a vintage two-up for my bike and did a 300 mile ride last weekend with it. It was absolutely brilliant. Im not a big guy like yourself so I got the regular vintage seat but they do make a wider version of it. I would check that out and it was very reasonably priced. I got it from Dennis Kirk if it matters.
I use the Mustang Vintage solo seat with removable passenger pillion and love it. I thought the Corbin 2 up seat that came on my bike was comfortable until I bought the Mustang. After I got the Mustang solo seat, I only had to take the Corbin for one ride with my wife on back to know I had to sell it and buy the removable pillion.
Im 5'10. and have a sundowner and the mustang wide vintage for my superglide. The sundowner sat me closer to the tank and raised me up. Both are comfortable all day seats but I definitly like the mustang better, especially the look over the sundowner
I'm a big guy too, I just picked up a almost new sundowner off Craigslist for $160 for my low rider. It definitely sits me closer to the tank and higher up than my stock seat which I don't like. However the cushion is great. I put it on yesterday morning and headed to the beach only needing to stop for fuel once and my butt never got sore. The stock seat was only good for about an hour before discomfort really started. I'm gonna be taking my stock seat to mean city cycles for memory foam inserted and see how that works out
