Its water resistant aswell.. and plays fairly loud.
I wish I could find the thread but there was a fellow here fairly recently who took that boom box and built a cradle/attachment for his bars out of PVC, it seemed pretty cool and I believe he said that it was pretty functional. You may want to search for it and I'll see if I can as well.
Also, Joe from Powder Pro, builds a similar system and sells them.
This may be the thread you are referring to. I have more pics of the completed set up. I just haven't sat down and uploaded them. I'll try to get that up tomorrow.

Not sure what kind of helmet you use, but this is what I use in my full face. I use it mostly for the bluetooth music portion, but have made phone calls at 80 mph and the other person didn't know I was on a bike. No fairing either.
How does it sound for both music and phone calls? Will it do intercom at the same time as playing music? I have been looking at Bluetooth communicators for a while but everybody that I see around here are all using the old chatterboxes.

Yes, you can intercom while playing music. You can even share music with other headsets, and Sena is one of the few brands that works with other brand headsets as well. Sound quality is pretty good for what it is. There isn't much bass so it's not headphone quality, but it cuts through the wind noise well. I love it, and use it 2 hours a day during my commute to work and charge it once a week.
I have the Scala Rider G9X by Cardo Systems and it's awesome. I upgraded the speakers and it sounds great. People cannot even tell I am on the bike while on phone calls also. Great product. Plus when on rides with buddies we can sync and talk the whole way which is kinda fun.
