The stock risers are 4.5" from the base of the riser to the bottom of the saddle cutout for the bars...

Great post thanks

I was replacing my bars with later OEM ones and needed just a little extra... Instead of new risers. These will work

One issue

The 3in riser bolt was long enough on my 03 dyna that you'd have to loosen up a lot of the front forks

Good news is the 2in risers fit easily and was the right height

Default Hey guys new member but been looking at these forums for years

I also replaced the rubber bushings in the upper clamp with solid chrome bushings, the riser is now solidly mounted to the clamp, no movement of the bars/riser.

The riser extensions are an inexpensive way to bring the bars up and back and improve your riding position, $35 well spent

Hey tincup I got to ask if you don't mind I also have a 2013 Wide Glide I just picked up these DK risers after reading your post I am curious did your risers extensions arrive scratched and chipped? Now I don't expect them to be perfect but I would at least hope that there would not be bare metal where rust can start to accumulate they came wrapped in the foam but I gotta tell you they look like they've been thrown around on the shop floor.

I bought 3" riser extension from DK and they arrived in perfect condition. Give them a call, they will happily exchange them I'm sure.

Up4daz, I ordered a set of the 2 inch from them back in January and they arrived chipped and scratched. I had to return them, the replacement set that they sent were better but not perfect. I didn't bother to return this set, I used a black sharpie for touch up.

Thanks guys just figured I'd ask, if these were tiny chips and scratches I wouldn't worry but these are a little smaller than a BB.

Old thread I know, but when installing the DK riser extensions, should I use RED Loctite or just BLUE?

Can the RED Loctite be "undone" in case I ever want to remove them again?
