Default Front Brake question

Hey guys, I was thinking about putting on Chrome lower fork tubes and also adding a second disc brake on the other side. I just put on a 21 inch wheel and has mounts for 2 rotors. I have an 06 low rider. I see they make a kit for the 04-05's which includes a fork tube with rotor, caliper and brake line and master cyclendar. My plan is to get the chrome lower fork tubes for the V-rod. Both are chrome and are for 49mm tubes. Looks to me like it'll work and I thought I read here someone had done it them selves also. So I was thinking v-rod chrome fork tubes because both tubes have brake calilper hangers, a brake rotor and new brake line that supports 2 rotors. Unless the master cylendar is a big deal I'd change that too.

What Im wondering is if you add a second rotor do you really need to change the master cylendar. Do you guys think the stock one will support a second brake or will it need more volume or bigger resivour for it ? I'm thinking the stock one may work ? Then again I dont know much about hydrolic brakes. The one in the kit does'nt look any different to me. What do you guys think?

The larger master cylinder is for the extra fluid for the other caliper. The bigger the cylinder the more volume of fluid to each caliper.

Yep I get that part, but do you think the stock master cylendar will run 2 calipers ? or most likely need to buy the bigger one if its bigger. I havent verified it but I assume the one with the kit is a larger capacity. Thanks for the reply.

Got it, I'll be upgrading then to the one from the kit, just thought I'd see what you all thought, I guess I was hoping to cheap out on that part, but as you've said brakes aint something to go cheap on. I asked the dealer and of course they said I'd have to upgrade, but wanted to make sure they werent just trying to sell me something I didnt need. Thanks again for the input guys !
