dont forget...if you put 2x6's under the tires and plan on putting the bike on its jiffy stand, put the same thickness block under the stand too. Otherwise the bike may fall over.

I have the Sears Red and black atv jack. If you put a 2x4 under the kick stand with the bike on the ground, not on 2x6's, then you can justslide the jack under the bike from the right side of the bike with plenty of clearence. You then put a 1" piece of wood under the left side rear frame railto level the rear of the bike (because of the 1" metal rail underthe right side frame rail used as anoil pan protector)and jack away. Make sure that the wood is 1" not a 3/4" piece. You may need touse a 1 x and a 1/4" piece on top of thatin order to equal 1 real inch in height because a 1x3 is really 3/4" by 2 3/4".

HD Part # 98965-99 $21.95.

Thanks for the heads up on these. I went that day and got them. While my bike is sturdy on the jack, for the $22.00 these cost it will be extra piece of mind.

I mean jacking up your bike! I'm looking at my wide glide and was going to jack it up with my Craftsman motorcycle/atv jack and I don't see how you can possibly jack this thing up without hitting the kick stand or oil pan. Anyone have any good methods for jacking? lol

The sears yellow jack is a lower profile than the red one. I have a bad back so I was cautious the first time I did this. I bought the Harley Dyna blocks for one reason only. They slip onto the frame and stay there.

This works for me. BE CAREFUL.

I put the blocks on the frame in the position shown on the sheet.

I get the jack ready to roll under the frame, no extention platforms on the jack.

The block on the left rear I pull on the bottom of it till the bottom is pointed at a 45 degree angle away from the Dyna.

I then sit and pull up the kick stand. Then I lean over and push down the block. Very Carefully.

Now I grab the jack handle and roll the jack under.

I give it a couple of pumps till it makes contact.

Once it makes contact I lean over to see if the jack is positioned on the blocks. If it is.

Then a few pumps and me and the Dyna go up.

If not reposition the jack and try again.
