Default Regulator basic info

Ok, this is pretty much continued from another thread but so I don't get confused I have a pretty basic question from experienced Harley owners. My bike is a 1993 Dyna Wide Glide.
I am trying to test the regulator(watched a video on Youtube on how to do this) and I found the plug that attaches to the Stator but I don't know where the other plug is...I see it looks as if it runs up through the bottom side of the gas tank and runs into where????? Where does it plug into and how do I get to it. I'm most likely going to have to replace this thing so I need to know...I know this is elementary stuff but still just got this bike. No I do not have a manual and I really can't afford at this moment. Thank you for any help
