I put a 180 on my stock 2011 Street Bob. There was no need for me to get a bigger rim. Also, 180 is as wide as I can go in the stock fender and struts.
That said, I do not believe you can go to a 180mm on 2013+ Street Bobs without major customization changes. I believe the issue has to do with reduced clearance under the new style fender (shaved brake light) on 2013+ Street Bobs.
Also, a lot of folks will tell you they put a 180 tire on their Street Bob without issue but verify the year of their bike before you believe them.
I'm running a 17x5.5 with a 190/50. My buddy runs a 17x6 with the same tire.
What year is your street bob? Did you need to make any modifications for that rim/tire combo to work or was it a direct fit? Im guessing there's not much room left under the fender and near the belt drive, am I right?
