Default Installing Grips

I just bought a set of Kury ISO Grips for my Dyna FLD and was wondering if any one had any tips on installing new grips.

That's a good video showing you how. I did the black Iso's awhile back. Was stupid easy.
Left is really simple.

Right is a bit more involved but nothing too hard. Worst thing is keeping track of those brass ferules as they like to get lost.....LOL
If your butterfly in you throttle body doesn't seem to snap back like it did before, use some throttle body cleaner to make sure it isn't getting stuck on some oil or other sticky substance.

Almost forgot, the glue they include dries petty fast. Figure out where you want it BEFORE putting the glue on. Just dry fit to see if you like the way it sits vs. your right grip & hand position.

You don't actually have to glue the left grip if you don't want to, I'm changing my bars out for apes this winter so when I installed my ISO grips I just used blue painters tape on the left bar, I wrapped it up near the switch housing, slid the grip on and squared it up with the right side and clamped it down with the switch housing... doesn't rotate at all but I'll be able to remove the left grip when I swap out my bars...

Replacing grips is super simple. This is my first bike, I am NOT a mechanic-and I had no issues swapping the grips on my bike. For me, the most difficult part was tuning the throttle. I just cranked the throttle cables all one way, then backed off until the buttefly valve would lay flat with the throttle open. That was it. I spent more time figuring out how to take the air cleaner off (like I said, not a mechanic), than I did adjusting the throttle itself.

Where was this idea a week ago!!! I trashed a set of Kinetic grips because the glue on the bar got tacky before I could slide the grip on. I bought a set of Avon grips which have a set "tab" of plastic like the Harley grips. Either way good trick to know for the future.

Yeah, install the throttle grip first and then do the left side and make sure the alignment of the left matches the right. You will see what I mean.

Oh, and make sure to get the throttle grip lock re-installed correctly.
