I recently put on Avon grips. I hope I did this right... The throttle didn't seem to have an opening for the ferrules, I put the cables without the ferrules directly in the grooves. Did I do this right? It works, but I want to make sure my throttle doesn't freeze up while riding.
Lol....you mean that the ball ends just clipped in instead of having the round housings like factory? As long as they're secure and don't slide around, you should be ok. Also, make sure you didn't put the grips on backwards.
yes, the ball ends just clipped in without the ferrules. It seems most all other grips use the ferrules, I wasn't sure I installed them correctly, but the throttle works fine.
