Anyone have any experience with the Harley LED headlight kit? Could really use some more light when night riding, but that kit is pricey. I'd really like to get a real world opinion before dropping that much cash.

 

I bought a set off Ebay. the H4 series bulb but it came in a pair because it was made for a vehicle. still fit right into my stock globe and got two for 45$ haven't had any issues yet and are super bright.

I bought the cyron LED H4 replacement bulb 10x better than halogen and 1/16 the price of the Harley kit. I believe that this is the same one that fuelmoto sells on their site.


others have had really good luck with the motoillumination LED headlight drop-in I think they look really good too.

 

Not sure what kit you are referring to but, I replaced stock bulb with the pricey Daymaker and am very happy with it.

 

I had the Motoillumination on my 5-3/4" (old front end)
I have a TruckLite on my 7" (new front end)

Love em. Got compliments from guys of how bright they are.

 

I got the Daymaker on my 15' WG. The difference is huge. During the daytime I run with the high beams on, and when following behind my girlfriend in the car, she commented on how bright it was. At night it makes a clear difference also, much more crisp lighting that projects further out then with the stock unit. I'm very please with this headlight. And installation was crazy simple.

 

I did a H4 LED bulb from amazon and I was impressed actually. Ive since moved to the UK and the roads are a bit less lit and more dangerous so Ive stepped unto a daymaker... Life changer. Cost a lot but worth it. If you're looking to save a little the LED H4 was only like 40 and worth its weight in gold. The LED H4 was just in a stock 01 dyna housing. see picture

 

A little kids flash light gives off more light than a stock bulb. Anything is an improvement, just depends on what you want to spend.

 

Will it fit in a 5-3/4 housing? A friend of mine bought a LED bulb and it wouldn't fit in the housing, the housing wasn't deep enough.

 

I just got the Motoillumination light. Haven't mounted it yet, but I'll post pics once I install it. It's $160 shipped, $110 if you buy it with a cosmetic blemish.
