J&S can't be beat for function and performance. Why buy a jack to modify it to make it work? Save money? F that. Get something you know will fit under your bike without using 2x4's and Jimmy rigging it to work. This jack rolls so smooth I don't even think if a strap. Lastly look at the flag on the right rear wheel. Feel good knowing you kept a few families fed and a roof over their head.

The link below is essentially what I have, but I purchased mine from Lowe's several years ago. I believe Harbor Freight also carries them. Can't find it on Lowe's website anymore. I'm sure the J&S is super nice, but I got mone for $100. Works like a charm.

+++++ On the J&S. Mine is about 7 years old now and still works like new. I like having the oil catch pan as well. No straps needed, but when the wheels come off I strap it down just for an extra measure. It's not needed, but just in case. Especially when torquing on the nuts. I've started the bike on the jack chasing down a rattle and just because I could a couple times when I first got it.

There are two items that everyone needs to purchase when they buy a Harley Davidson motorbike.
1. Service Manual
2. J&S jack
Not necessarily in that order.

Having that catch pan that on the j&s would rule! No matter how hard I try I end up having a kitty litter mess on my hands haha. I was considering a different jack but as others have said I just modded mine to work.

It is nice! I pull one plug at a time to make sure there's nothing odd coming out of each hole, but when the bike was brand new I just pulled all three holes and let it go.
