Default 09 fatbob removing lower blocks

So my 09 fatbob has stock shocks with lower blocks (bought it this way). I go back and forth with if it looks cool, so I've been letting it be. WELL... the previous owner told me he bottomed out one time with his wife on the back and screwed up his tail light and brake light wiring, but that he said it was a crater of a bump he hit and never had issues.

Well, I must be fatter. I notice every once in a while I scrape when I hit a bump. Threw my better half on there saturday and we scraped a few times. If I remember correctly my shocks are set at #2 - not sure if thats soft or firm setting though.

Was thinking of just taking these blocks out and calling it a day - my question is, will I be able to do each side by itself without lifting the rear end up or using a motorcycle jack? (I do have the larin one, but wasn't sure if I could use it on this bike) I was hoping I could detach one side and just muscle it up into place while someone throws the bolt in...

The number 1 position is the softest. I have my Fat Bob shocks set at #5. It rides stiff with just the rider but works nicely with 2 on the bike.

Maybe I'll try that first. The guy was about 5'8" but said he was 190. His wife was 130 soaking wet. I'm 210. Didn't think it would bottom out for me solo. Maybe I'll try #4. The wife has her own street bob, so she doesn't hardley ever ride with me - we both hate it.

The lowering blocks will let the shocks be softer. Less weight to bottom. It causes it because of its design. It changes the shock angle.
2 being soft I'm sure you will bottom.
Raise it to 4 like you said and check it. You shoul be okay riding solo.
