Electrical issue?
My bike (2008 FXDF) starts ok. After a second or two, the "Check Engine" light comes on for about 4 seconds, then just turns off. After riding for around 20-30 miles, the "Check Engine" and Battery lights turn on.
I thought it was the voltage regulator. I replaced it and still have the same issue.
Any thoughts as to what the issue is or could be? Any/all help is appreciated. Thanks.

What made you think it was the voltage regulator? Was it just a WAG? Don't start replacing stuff unless you've tested it.
If the check engine light came on the bike threw a code. Check to see which codes.
