Help with Check Engine and Battery Light
I have an 07 1200c and have been recently seeing the check engine and battery light come on while at or near idle. It then goes off once I start moving again. I checked the code and got a B1007 (Ingition Line Overvoltage). I did just recently replace the right rear turn signal wires which had grounded out from rubbing the tire. The bike runs great when the check engine light and battery light comes on, just not sure why I am getting this code. Anyone that can offer suggestions would be appreciated.

When rpms drop stator output drops. Run tests on stator and voltage regulator. How old is the battery? Stator puts out AC voltage and should be about 10v AC per 1000 rpm up to about 40v AC. Unplug voltage regulator THEN start the bike. Check with volt meter on 50-100V AC while revving the engine. If that's good chances are great it's the voltage regulator.
