Yesterday, on the ride home from Great Lakes National Cemetery, my check engine and battery light came on. They stayed on for about 10 minutes then went back out. I have had the voltage regulator checked, and was told there were no issues (that was last year). Anyone heard of this? Should I be worried??
Bike is a 2012 touring.
Thanks,
Jason
Noble,
I would suspect you may still have an issue with the voltage regulator and or battery and it's connections. I would first be sure the battery cables are clean and tight. I would check connections at the voltage regulator as well. Since the bike is still under warranty I would have the dealer double check that the alternator / regulator is working properly.
I suspect the check engine light came on when it saw low voltage.
