Fxdl front signal relocation
Im wanting to relocate my front turn signals or just delete them all together. Most bike i just unplug them. But the new lowriders have the wires soldered straight to the switches. I have plugs under the tank for turn signals if i want to re add them. Buy what would be the best way to get rid of the fronts. Clip the wires at the switches, leave a bit sticking through and heat shrink the ends? Im not worried about adding them back and if i need to can allways use the plugs under the tank

Well, the new bikes, have a "module" instead of an actual switch. I think i can snip em and leave em long, put some marine heat shrink (has glue in it), pinch the ends and just tuck it in the bars since im internally wiring them. so i can solder em back on put some new loom on em if i sell the bike or change my mind later down the line

I just did the HD relo kit on mine and that's exactly what the kit does - cut the wires and marine heat shrink. Be sure to stagger the cuts so none of the wires can short out.
I'm not sure if you'll get any error codes if the bike can't "detect" the turn signals.

Yes, cut slightly staggered, short enough to keep in the housing, and shrink wrap is the correct way. The BCM is not going to give you any troubles. I've done this with a few CANBUS bikes now. I just had my bike over to the dealer for some warranty stupid **** and they did pull a code for that but it doesn't hurt anything. Basically thinks it's got some burned out bulbs. Nothing to worry about or even having to clear them. Your indicators on your console will blink faster than normal but your rear turn signals will still operate correctly. Happy cutting!

Well i tried 3 methods tonight. The first was leaving the wires long and putting them in the loom with the switch wiring, not enough room. 2nd was cutting them short and tucking them in the switch housing. Didnt seem to have enough room with the wires and heat shrink. 3rd was just pulling the wires and connectors out with pliers. Worked great pulled right out pushed some dielectric grease the holes and reassembled and tested. Works good.
