I've searched and don't see a definitive explination on how to do a forward to mid swap.

I'm no mechanic but I can hold my own and have plenty of tools. If anyone could help me out I sure would appreciated it.

 

I'm going to be following this as well. I have all of the parts (from when I had forwards installed) and have been toying with the idea. If I can do it without removing the inner primary, I jut might go for it.

 

I have the service manual and parts book for my 08 FXDF; accumulated ALL the parts required either new or take-off (eBay), made an appointment at my indy, dropped it all off in the AM, went riding after work that night. The inner primary has to be removed, that means primary drive/clutch/alternator come off too. If you are tooled up enough (I am) capable (I am) and have the time (I don't, especially in season) then it doesn't look too bad in the service manual
