Default Need inner primary clarification, please!

My inner primary needs to be replaced. It's an 09 street bob with the silver motor. The microfiche parts finder says the part # is 60789-06b, but the actual part is stamped with 60681-06a. I have factory mid controls and I'm keeping the mid controls. Can anyone help and explain the difference? I understand the whole a/b/c changes, but not the part #. Thanks in advance!

Go with the HD Parts Manual - my inner primary stamp does not match either. Somebody explained this once but my memory eludes me again.....

Just came from the dealer. The number stamped on the actual inner primary is the cast #.

That microfiche is the same thing the Dealers parts man looks at.
I'm glad the parts man explained casting numbers to you,
It's good to ask though,,

Cast #, yes that's what it was! I'll remember that for a few more months then forget again....

My cast # is 60681-06B, looks just like a part #, HD trying to drive us nuts.
