Default Clutch perch will not line up properly

I have tried several times, several different ways and can not get the clutch perch to not have a small gap at the switch housing. Anybody else have this problem? It lines up fine till i tighten the clamp then i has a small gap. The master cylinder does too but not a bad.

Hard to see on mine since the turn signal is there but you probably got pieces from either end of the tolerance allowance.

It's a little hard to see but it looks like you are not tightening the screws equally. Thread them in loosely and wiggle the perch pieces to better align them and then alternately tighten the screws in an equal fashion. If one screw is too tight it will not allow the two pieces to clamp together properly. Be careful, those perch pieces are cast and will strip out or break if too much pressure is applied to those screws.

On my stock bars they were fine but now with aftermarket bars that have powder coat they are way off. Tried multiple ways and times and can't get them just right.

I had that happen with a new set of Kuryakyn chrome lever controls...I just could not get the clamps to align better so I swapped sides (same part for both sides) and the alignment was much better...also, your photo looks like you might be locating the clutch lever assembly on the handlebar curve which will create a gap between the switch housing and lever control along with the alignment problem you are experiencing.

Just keep messing with it, it will line up better...

What i do is close the gap on the top screw the torque them equally. Is that not right is there susposse to be a equal gap top and bottom?

...there probably should not be that much of a noticeable gap if you have the correct diameter controls for your handlebars..
