Lightbulb Your favorite customization

I've got a 08 FatBob and am wondering what your favorite custom item is? Mine is definitely a combination of two tweaks...a lowrider solo seat and the lowering shocks. I'm loving riding low to the ground. I'm interested in hearing what you have done to improve on the already unbeatable ride of the FatBob.

Toss up between the 30T front pulley and mid controls, both are huge improvements for me.

HD Pilot, what has the 30T done for gears 1 and 2? And what about 6 out on the highway?

I am in the process of making an FXR style dash for my '97 FXDS. Don' t care for the flat black piece as built.

The 30T lower the entire gearing by about 6 percent, so your rpms will be roughly 6 percent higher at a given speed for ALL gears. The stock set up is way too tall, hard to find a happy rpm for a lot of speeds. With the 30T the gearing is "compressed" so I find it much easier to find a nice rpm/gear combo for all the speeds that I normally go: 0-80 mph.

Now if you like to cruise at 85+ mph(probably need some engine mods) then just maybe the 30T might not be the way to go because you will lose some top speed. Still will have no problems hitting 100 for the fun of it!

Not a fat Bob but my best mod by far was adding some piggy back gas shocks

Mine would be regearing my drive w/ the 30/70 combo.......was a toss up between that and my motor, but bang for the buck the gearing takes the win all day long!
