Can anyone that has had a Bassani 2 into 1 on their Dyna for a while, like a year or more tell me how the black finish holds up over time. Most black pipes I see look awesome at first, but over time the finish just doesn't hold up. I'm debating on a black or chrome 2 into 1 for my 2014 Low Rider.

For any brand the chrome will stand the test of time better.
I've had my black Bassani 2:1 pipe for over a year and have not noticed any degradation in the finish. I don't power wash my bike, I don't use anything but mild soap and water to wash things up. Soft microfiber clothes for drying. So far so good.
I had one in my bike for about 6 years...When I first put it on and took it to a dealer to have it dyno tuned, someone spilled something other than water on the pipe where the 2 pipes come together into one. I didn't notice it for a couple of days and so couldn't blame the dealer.
The only remedy I found was Rustoleum semi gloss BBQ paint. I almost wrapped it but that will crack a pipe over time, so periodically I would just paint it.
Pipe made good power but it was too loud for me. At the time I bought it Basanni didn't make any usable heat shields for any of their pipes.
3 years with over 10,000 miles, still looks new.
I did get a used end cap from one of our members here and the end cap had turned purple/ pinkish color.
from what I have noticed is those that turn does not have a proper tune and running some hot but that is nothing but a guess.
mine is on a 113 pro twin that runs cool, don't need a oil cooler or fans.
I've got the chrome 2-1 road rage and love it! Flawless chrome work, and nice materials used for the pipe it's self and the hanger. Plus it sounds good and makes nice power.
Much better than the pot metal that V&H uses! I had their rear hanger crack completely in half on me.
