Do Dyna's even have EITMS? I thought only touring models had it.

Yes, they do, at least my 05 had it, until I went to the Thundermax

DynoJet Power Vision, shut that stupid EITMS off permanently, one of the very first things I did when I married my PV to the Wide Glide...

I think I'll keep mine. Way better than engine damage from overheating.

A good tune negates the need for the parade mode, it is necessary because of how lean the EPA requirements force HD to tune the bike. The temps on a bike that is running a bit richer should never reach the temps that would invoke parade mode. That is why an autotuner like the Thundermax does not need it.

What's the advantage of disabling it then, if temps will supposedly never get high enough to activate it?

I think I'd still like to have all engine self-protection features in place. Why not?

First off. I said with the Thundermax autotuner, I do not know why the PV has the option.
I do not consider the FP a good tuner, I tried one because it was the cheapest at the time, then I realized it didn't get the job done and got a PCIII, it did not get the job done either, still had parade mode often in the summer.
Finally bought what I should have bought the first time, Thundermax, no more issues and my temp logs prove heat is no longer a problem.

Lots of engines these days employ an individual cylinder shut-off, or an alternate cylinder shutoff strategy as extra protection from overheating.
I guess I still don't see the advantage of disabling it, even if extra fuel is dumped in for supplemental cooling, and even if it happens that nothing else ever goes wrong enough to need it. It's there if you do. Chit happens. If it never did, I'd get rid of my "road service" contract.
